  • Alfonso Mercado is the Director of the Multicultural Clinical Lab at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He served as President of the Texas Psychological Association and as chair of APA’s 2024 Task Force on Immigration and Health, and is current president of the National Latinx Psychological Association.

  • Alfredo Padilla-López is a Full-Time Professor at the Autonomous University of Baja California (Mexico). He is Past-President of the International Council of Psychology Educators (ICOPE) and received a 2024 APA President Citation, for his leadership in Mexican and global Psychology. 

  • Alicja Szmidka is a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Quality of Life Research of the Medical University of Gdansk, Academic Affairs Officer at the European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations, and a participant in the GPA’s Learning Leadership Institute.

  • Álvaro Rovira is a Spanish Psychology graduate who is interested in organisational development. He is currently working as the External Relations Coordinator in the European Federation of Psychology Students' Associations.

  • Alvin Joseph Mapoy is an early career psychologist and psychometrician and an Instructor at the University of Santo Tomas, pursuing doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology. He is recognized for his teaching, consultancy, and leadership in advancing mental health awareness and education. 

  • Amanda Clinton is the Senior Director for the APA’s Office of International Affairs. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and a credentialed school psychologist with experience in community clinics, pediatric hospitals, schools, academic settings, and public policy.

  • Andik Matulessy is President of the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI) (2022-2026),  associate professor at the University of 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, Indonesia,  Executive Committee Asia Pacific Psychological Alliance / APPA (2019-now), and Treasurer of ASEAN Regional Union Psychological Society / ARUPS (2023-2025).  

  • Angel Elgier is the founder of the Cognition and Public Policy Laboratory (CogPub) and the director of the Specialization in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at the Quilmes College of Psychologists, Buenos Aires Province (District XII). He also serves as Argentina’s representative for the Interamerican Society of Psychology and Delegate of the Argentine Association of Behavioral Sciences.

  • Angelo Brandelli Costa is a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), specializing in social and health psychology. He is known for his research on prejudice, social attitudes, sexuality, gender, and HIV/AIDS.  

  • Anita Gupta is the President of the Canadian Psychological Association (2024-2025). She is a clinical, health, and rehabilitation psychologist and works in hospital based psycho-oncology and also has a private practice. 

  • Arthur C. Evans Jr. is a clinical and community psychologist and health care innovator. Dr. Evans serves as the CEO of the American Psychological Association, the leading scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States.

  • Christina Silvera is a licensed associate clinical psychologist from Jamaica and a graduate emerging leader from the GPA’s Learning Leadership Institute. She is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of the West Indies and works in private clinical practice.

  • Cynthia de las Fuentes is a bilingual counseling psychologist and served as the 2024 President of the American Psychological Association., during which time her Presidential Task Force authored a state-of-the-art report on psychology and immigration.

  • Daniella Sykes is a licensed associate clinical psychologist from Jamaica and emerging leader in the GPA’s Learning Leadership Institute. She is committed to reducing mental health stigma and advancing global mental health initiatives.  

  • Debra M. Kawahara is the 2025 President of the American Psychological Association, where she aims to bring her campaign slogan, “Strength in Unity, to fruition. She is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Distinguished Professor at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University.

  • Dennis P. Stolle is the Head of Applied Psychology at the American Psychological Association, where he leads initiatives across diverse areas, including human-technology interaction. A licensed attorney, Dennis holds both a PhD in Social and Personality Psychology and a law degree from the University of Nebraska. He was previously a co-founder and president of a private consulting firm, where he applied psychological science and methods to advise corporate clients on strategies relating to legal disputes involving a wide range of technologies.

  • Djavila Ho is President of the Jamaican Psychological Society and a licensed Associate Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in trauma-informed care across public and private sectors in Kingston, Jamaica. She is the Executive Director of KAHLE Journey and co-chairs the Global Mental Health working group of the Global Psychology Alliance.

  • Elona Mustafaraj is the General Secretary and a member of the National Council of the Order of Psychologists of Albania. From March 2020, she is a member of the Crisis, Emergencies and Traumas committee at the European Federation of Psychology Associations.

  • Guerda Nicolas is a multicultural (Haitian American) and multilingual (Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole) psychologist. Her current research projects focus on developing culturally effective mental health interventions for people of color, with a specific focus on immigrant children, adolescents, and families.

  • Hazel McLaughlin is chartered scientist, international IO psychologist and executive coach. She is based in the UK and was President of the British Psychological Society in 2020-2021. She is active in the Global Psychology Alliance, including as a co-chair for the Global LLI’s mentoring program and she is a facilitator for the 2025 Summit.

  • Ismahan Soukeyna Diop is a doctor in Clinical Psychology, and an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology of the Université Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar in Senegal. She is a past president of the Apsysen (Association des Psychologues du Sénégal).

  • Ivannia Serrano Brenes is the 2024-26 President of the College of Professionals in Psychology of Costa Rica. She represents Costa Rica before the Central American Union of Colleges and Associations of Psychology (UCCAP).

  • Jennifer Ramasami is an early-career pediatric psychologist of Guyanese descent, currently residing in Cleveland, Ohio. With expertise in pediatric chronic pain, Jennifer works at Cleveland Clinic Children's in the pediatric chronic pain rehabilitation program.

  • Jesus Salvador Gutierrez is a graduate student in the doctoral program in Psychology at the University of Sonora, Mexico. His research focuses on the interdisciplinary convergence of Psychology, Ethics, and Sustainability.

  • Jesus Enrique Saplala is a registered autonomous clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario since 2015. He has also served as president (2008-2010) of the Psychological Association of the Philippines, founder of an alternative literacy psychoeducational program for prisoners, Skwelahang Sikolohiya, at the Philippine national penitentiary, former associate professor and lecturer at Miriam College, De La Salle University in Manila and a bridge training program for internationally trained mental health workers in Toronto, and currently providing psychological services in private practice.

  • Joanne Hands is a Psychologist with a License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Professional Counselor (LPC), from the state of Louisiana, USA. In addition, she is a Certified Counselor by the American National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC) as well as Certified in Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory. She is the President of the Middle East Psychological Association (MEPA) and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), American Counseling Association (ACA), and Venezuelan Federation of Psychologists (FPV).

  • John Francis Leader (JFL) specialises in clinical, research, policy and advocacy work in the areas of mental health, digitalisation and experiential learning. JFL is an Adjunct Research Fellow at University College Dublin and Honorary Secretary of the Psychological Society of Ireland. Internationally, JFL is a Board Member and Liaison for Mental Health of the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA) and serves on APA's Committee for Global Psychology.

  • Jonathan Bulahan Aganan is a licensed psychologist specializing in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. He is an instructor at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and a graduate of the inaugural cohort of the GPA’s Learning Leadership Institute.

  • Jorge Enrique Torralbas Oslé is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Havana and the President of Cuban Psychological Society.

  • Kai A D Morgan Campbell is a mother of 4 and a wife to Chalik for the past 22 years... her family is her pride and joy and right after that is Psychology, a passion she adopted at 17 years old that has never left her as she continues to grow and help to expand its reach in the Caribbean region.

  • Kalyani Gopal is a licensed clinical psychologist in Indiana and manages a multi specialty mental health private practice with 5 clinics. She is running for President-Elect, APA and is currently president of the Psychology Coalition of accredited NGOs at the United Nations. She also runs a shelter for victims of sex trafficking.

  • Kanthi Hettigoda is a chartered clinical psychologist and a senior lecturer in psychology at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. Her current research interests include trauma, resilience, post traumatic growth and the impact of individual human behaviour on the environment.

  • Kapil Mani Acharya is the program coordinator at the Nepalese Science Foundation Trust. He seeks to foster a deeper understanding of the psychological drivers behind climate action and sustainability, aiming to contribute to both individual well-being and the health of our planet.

  • Kean J. Hsu is a Registered Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at National University of Singapore. He directs the Clinical Translational Science Laboratory and his team investigates how basic cognitive processes (e.g., attention, executive functioning) impact the etiology and exacerbate symptom severity of depression and anxiety.

  • Leisha Redmond McGrath is a Chartered Work and Coaching Psychologist. She practices in Ireland, where she is from, and her particular interests are leadership, sustainability and wellbeing. 

  • Liliana Mason is an SNF Agora Institute Professor of Political Science at Johns Hopkins University. Her research on partisan identity, social sorting, and American attitudes about political violence has been published in top political science journals and featured in high-profile media outlets. She is a member of the 2024 class of Carnegie fellows.

  • Marc Eric Reyes is a Professor of Psychology, University of Santo Tomas, and a Licensed Psychologist. He is a former President of the Psychological Association of the Philippines and currently serves on the  Board of Trustees of The Philippine Mental Health Association and on the American Psychological Association’s Membership Board.

  • Maria del Pilar Grazioso

  • Maria Elena Humphrey is a Psychotherapist registered in Florida and El Salvador. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology as well as Postgraduate degrees in Organizational/Industrial Psychology and International Human Resources.

  • Maysa Akbar is a respected scientist-practitioner and APA’s Chief Diversity Officer and Chief of Psychology in the Public Interest, charged with infusing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) into the fabric of the Association’s work.

  • Michel Nawfal is a Clinical Psychologist, a graduate of the American University of Beirut and a CBT therapist trained at the Beck Institute. Dr. Nawfal is the current President of the Lebanese Psychological Association. He has been a full member of the American Psychological Association since 2005. 

  • Monde Kote is a professional Psychological Consultant, practitioner, and Lecturer at the University of Botswana. He works on topics such as measurement, testing and evaluation, educational psychology, palliative and end of life psychotherapy, mediated support training, human development, and climate psychology.

  • Ndinelao T. Shihepo is a Clinical Psychologist at the Namibian Ministry of Health and Social Services, and former Vic President of the Psychological Association of Namibia (PAN).

  • Patricia H. A. Perez is an international psychologist, global consultant, and speaker. Dr. Perez has almost 30 years of experience teaching, consulting and presenting in the fields of child development and psychology. 

  • Richard Plenty is a British organisation psychologist. He has been involved with the GPA  from the start and co-facilitated the two previous GPA summits in Lisbon and  Bogota. He was awarded a Presidential Citation from the American Psychological Association in 2022 in recognition of his leadership in advancing global psychology.

  • Robertas Povilaitis is lecturer at Vilnius University (Lithuania) and active member of Lithuanian Psychological Association.

  • Saldin H. Kimangale is a practicing clinical psychologist residing in Dar es Salaam – Tanzania. Interested in Early Childhood Adversities and Trauma. Saldin is advocating for child protection, School Health Program and Climate change. He is a beneficiary of LLI program and recipient of the APA Presidential Citation Award 2024.

  • Sara Ritter

  • Shané Cummings is an Associate Clinical Psychologist and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist from Jamaica. Currently, she manages an Employee Assistance Programme, provides psychological services in private practice, and participates in the GPA's Learning Leadership Institute for Emerging Psychologists.

  • Terri Morrissey is a Business and Organisational Development Psychologist and co-founder of “This is…”an organisational development practice. Her areas of interest are leadership development, culture change, sustainability, and climate related work.

  • Usha Subba is the President of Association of Psychologists in Nepal (APN). She is also a spokesperson and researcher of mental health and climate change. 

  • Valbona Treska is the first President of the Order of Psychologists of Albania. She was awarded her PhD at the University of Tirana. In 2022, she was honored by the American Psychological Association for her leadership in the development of psychology in Albania.

  • Veronika Kocmanová teaches medical students, collaborates with a leadership development company, and is enrolled in a PhD programme in Medical Psychology. She served for seven years in the European Federation of Psychology Students´ Associations, including two years as its President.

  • Wendy Jeremie is a Trinidadian psychologist who focuses on the holistic development of the individual. She received her B. Sc. Psychology and MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She is the 2025 chair of APA’s Committee for Global Psychology.
